Directions to Sydney House Chelsea

London Underground

The nearest tube station is South Kensington (Circle and District Line or Piccadilly Line). Sydney House Chelsea is just a five minute walk from here. Exit the station on the South side, heading towards Onslow Square. Turn right onto Fulham Road; Sydney Street is located on your left.

Air

For arrivals into Heathrow (LHR), take the Heathrow Express train into Paddington Station to access the Circle Line on the Tube.  Alternatively, the Piccadilly Line on the Tube runs directly from Heathrow.

For arrivals into Gatwick (LGW), take the Gatwick Express train into Victoria Station to access the Circle and District Line on the Tube.

For arrivals into London City Airport, take the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) west to Bank/Monument. Change here for the Circle and District Line on the Tube.

Taxis can also be arranged. Black cabs are available from the airports or a car can be booked in advance. Please contact us for further details.

Car

For SAT NAV, we recommend the postal code SW3 6PU.

Follow the M4 east bound to its terminus where is merges with the A4. Continue along the A4, turning right onto Earls Court Road (A3220).

Keep on Earls Court Road until you reach Fulham Road and the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital. Turn left onto Fulham Road.

Continue along Fulham Road until you reach the Royal Marsden Hospital. Sydney Street is the second road on the right after the hospital.

Parking

Regrettably on site parking is not available, however several parking options are available locally.

On Street Parking

Sydney House Chelsea has single yellow lines immediately outside, available for parking 10.00pm until 8.30am Monday to Friday, 6.30pm to 8.30am on Saturday and all-day Sunday (excludes bank holidays).

Sydney Street also operates limited pay and display parking outside St. Luke’s Church.

Congestion Charge

The hotel is not in the congestion charge zone anymore (since January 4th 2011). However, should you pass through it to reach us, the charge of £11.50 can be paid on the day until 10:00 pm at most petrol stations, supermarket check-out desks or newsagents and tobacconists – one located at only 3 minutes walk from the hotel. If paid the next day the charge goes up to £14.50. Alternatively you can pay the congestion charge online. We can explain all the methods on the check in as you do not have to pay the charge before entering central London.
