There are no car park facilities at the hotel. However, there are three car parks located nearby operated by NCP car parks www.ncp.co.uk.
There are two steps on entrance without ramp or wheelchair access due to the fact that the building is listed and no alterations were possible.
Our staff are trained in disability awareness and are available to assist you with any reasonable request. Should you require and assistance with luggage, please contact reception prior to your arrival where a member of staff will be happy to help.
The reception at Sydney House Chelsea is located on the ground floor and has clear level access. Throughout the whole of the ground floor the surfaces are level wooden flooring, and short pile rugs and carpets. Corridors throughout the ground floor are wide with the narrowest doorways being 870mm. Reception is well lit with table lamps and natural light. Reception desk is 110 cm high.
Lounge
The lounge in the hotel is located on the ground floor where the flooring is wood with a runner carpet leading to reception. Our corridors are wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair. Assistance dogs are more than welcome within the lounge. The Main Lounge feature a mixture of seating arrangements with low level coffee tables (500mm) and seating ranging from soft deep cushioned to straight back chairs.
Public Toilets
A unisex public toilet is located on the lower ground floor and is accessible via wooden staircase with handrails only – no wheelchair access.
Restaurant
Our restaurant is located on the lower ground floor via 14 wooden steps with a hand rail and the surface is polished wood.
Full waiter service is provided at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Please let us know in advance if you have any special dietary needs.
The menu is printed and can be verbally presented or provided in large print if required.
There is ample movable seating and there are chairs without arms. The restaurant area is well-lit, with lots of natural daylight during daytime hours. Breakfast and restaurant meals can be served in the ground floor bar/lounge area upon request.
There are no accessible bedrooms that could provide specific facilities with guests with moving disabilities or accommodate a wheelchair access.
In order to safely evacuate, we will need to conduct a personal emergency evacuation plan on arrival to understand your specific requirements. Should evacuation be necessary, our fire alarm will sound continuously.
